Jonesy's 4th Birthday and His LEGO Party

Well, I have finally found some time to post the much anticipated pictures from Jones' birthday party. It was so much fun and I wouldn't have put so much effort into it if Jones hadn't been making requests about his party for the 6 months leading up to it. He loved it and everything turned out perfect!

Happy Birthday Jones!!!

Jones putting together his new bike. I am pretty sure that had I let him do it by himself he would have eventually figured out how to assemble the entire thing.

The party started off with some serious lego building. Everyone had a chance to show off their skills.
Jonesy and his friends and cousins building away.

This was one of the only times Marshall was allowed to play legos. Look at how happy he is!

Let the games begin!
Game #1
The first game was "lego scoop." Each party goer was competing to see who could be the first to remove all of their legos from their container using only a fork. It was supposed to be chopsticks but I didn't have 10 pair of chopsticks laying around....

Game #2
Lego Minifigure Toss

Game #3
Lego Minifig Spoon Relay

Game #4
Guess How Many Legos Are In the Jar
There were 75 for those of you that were curious.
Game #5
Pin the Brick on the Minifig

Pinata Time!

Cake Time!
Yes, I made the cake. It was Jonesy's request and it was the first and last time I will ever make one.

We finally sold!

After a year of having our house up for sale we finally sold. The amazing thing was that it couldn't have happened at a better time. I won't go into all the details but we were very blessed to have sold it when we did. It was emotional to leave as we have loved living there and we love the neighborhood and ward. We made a lot of great friends and Jonesy has been having the hardest time out of all of us with transitioning. I think he misses all of his friends in the neighborhood. I'm so glad that we were able to have his birthday party with his friends before we left. I think he loved that.

A big thank you to everyone who helped us last week with moving. We had so many people volunteer to help and we appreciate everyones contribution so much. Being pregnant puts a whole new level of exhaustion on the amount of work moving is. I couldn't believe how worn out I was! Thanks again! I remember when we first walked through our condo after making an offer on it. My parents walked through it with us and I remember my Dad telling me that when he and my Mom were our ages they bought a condo in California and that they loved living there and that they made some of their best friends ever. They made friends there that became life long friends. That is exactly how I feel about our experience living at our condo. We met some great people and made friends that we will be in contact with the rest of our lives. Thanks everybody. We'll miss you all!

Where do I begin?

I have so many things to blog and so many things to do that I don't know where to begin. A lot has happened in the last month including our trip to Florida and Jonesy's 4th birthday. I still don't have time to start blogging all of these events but I had to blog what Jonesy just said to me. I am on the computer in the office and he has his friend Julienne over. They both came in to see what I was doing and Jones says, "Mom is on facebook, Mom is on facebook!" I didn't even know he knew the term facebook or what it was but I guess he busted me. Too funny! I love that kid.

It happened. I got "the look"

So on Wednesday my sister Lisa and I ventured out with our kids for a few errands and of course a food stop. We are both pregnant so whatever we did that day had to involve eating at some point. First, we went to the book fair and that is when I realized that I might be one of the those parents that has their child on a leash. I have always laughed at parents who put their kids on those things. I mean what are they animals? Well, laugh no more. I have an animal for a child and he is in need of a leash. Marshall would not stand still. I think him learning to walk early on has only developed into running even sooner and running equals escaping. He would not stay by me and I could not keep up with him. It was borderline embarrassing. Okay, it was full-on embarrassing.

After the book fair we made a stop at Taco Amigo (A Utah County favorite). They have the best french fries and for some reason I have been craving it for weeks so this was a perfect day to indulge. I, of course, couldn't decide exactly what I wanted because everything sounded so good so I ordered it all and then much to my surprise, ate everything. I am creating some bad habits this pregnancy that may be hard to break..... oops! We headed back to Lisa's after our food stop and ate and hung out for a while before taking a trip to Costco with the kids. This is where it happened. To give you a little background, Marshall has recently become obsessed with dogs. He makes this puppy sound that actually sounds like a real dog barking. I will be doing whatever in a quiet house while he is napping and all of the sudden I start hearing dog noises. Yip, that's my cue to tell me that he is awake and happy. Anyway, I have Jones and Marshall in my cart at Costco and Lisa has her daughter Jade. Well, the three kids are all howling and barking and carrying on and a man passes me. He looks at my two "barking" kids, then looks at my stomach, then looks back at me and walks on by. I knew exactly what he was thinking. I immediately told Lisa that I had just gotten "the look." That guy was thinking, those kids are out of control and I can't believe she is having another one! I should have known this day would come. Was I mad, no. It is true. I am crazy to be having another one!

All things considered we had a fun day together. It was tiring but fun and I can't wait to get together with Lisa and do it again. Oh, wait, we did it again today and it was more on the tiring side than fun!

OPEN HOUSE - Saturday, April 11th, 11-2

We are having an open house on Saturday, April 11th from 11:00am-2:00pm. If you know anyone who is looking for a new home and may be interested please spread the word. We are hoping that this will generate some interest. With a new baby on the way the sooner we can sell the better.

Our condo is 1250 sq. feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is in a great location on the corner of Bangerter Highway and Redwood Road. It is beautifully upgraded and is truly one of a kind. It is on the main level so there are no stairs to climb with kids or groceries or both. We have loved living here but unfortunately need a little bit more space for the kids.
